Her hair has gone through many transformations since. I've never used bleach on Tracy's hair, only high lift colors with low lights. Tracy's hair maintains a beautiful shine and healthy condition. She likes this slightly longer shape and is actually growing it out a little. Her base color is light enough that highlift color gives her this beautiful light blonde without that can result when bleach is not applied properly. Her previous colorist had colored her hair too dark and her highlights were brassy. I have been slowly brightening her base color and have gotten the brassy tones under control. Her hair had also been over-layered and over-texturized making it frizzy. Not anymore, though. Ruth has come to appreciate using quality color hair products on her hair. We've been able to achieve very good gray coverage while controlling warm tones in her hair. I've recommended that she doesn't do highlights as her gray will act as a natural highlight giving her this beautiful color. We grew out most of her shorter layers into longer layers and added softness around her front hairline. Lydia had been talking about growing her hair out naturally with no chemicals and into a shorter style. When she was ready, this is what we got - what I like to call a beautiful "natural silver blonde". She wanted to continue to grow her hair out so I recommended regular trims every ten to twelve weeks and the use a quality shampoo and conditioner.
